Olympic gold medal winner Lizzy Yarnold has been appointed as the new celebrity ambassador of Active Ramsgate, an initiative designed to support 'economic regeneration' by promoting the area's outdoor activities, including walking, cycling, canoeing, seal and fishing trips, golf and geocaching trails.

Yarnold commented 'Keeping fit and active is so important and I'm delighted to be supporting such a valuable initiative. Getting out in the fresh air with friends and family and making the most of Thanet's beautiful coastline and countryside, what could be better?'.
